A dancer who wishes to perform or enter competition must wear a school costume. Beginner female dancers will wear a simple and inexpensive purple velvet skirt & shawl or purple velvet dress and shawl. Novice level dancers are required to purchase the pre-championship school costume. Once a female dancer reaches championship level she is required to wear a solo costume. Male dancers will wear black pants; dress shirt; black tie; black socks. For more information on costumes, please call or stop by the studio office.

All dancers must wear ghillies for soft shoe dances and hard shoes for the hard shoe step dances. Boys and girls shoes are available at the studio.

Beginner Levels: Snug fitting leggings, shorts or bicycle-shorts, t-shirts, tasteful tank-tops, leotards, loose knee-length or short skirts. White cotton socks or poodle socks.
Novice to Championship Levels: Yeates Academy black shorts and black t-shirts, or plain black shorts with black t-shirts. White cotton socks or poodle socks.
Hair longer than shoulder length must be tied back away from face.
